Thank you for visiting! We’re excited to introduce the Victorian Centre for Advancement in Allied Health — a new initiative hosted by Monash Health, working in partnership with the Victorian Department of Health and the allied health community to shape the future of allied health in Victoria.
What we do
VCAAH is here to work collaboratively with allied health clinicians, managers, educators, researchers and organisations to strengthen the workforce and support system-wide improvements. Our mission? To deliver strategic, evidence-informed solutions that empower clinicians and improve systems.
In our first phase, we’ll partner with the state and the allied health community to:
• Pilot a workload management tool for allied health
• Provide input into classification amendments for key rolesSupport the development and review of clinical classifications
• Assist employers to implement clinical supervision structures
• Support the growth of allied health research culture and capability across the state

Dr Caitlin Barr will lead the VCAAH as Director of Allied Health alongside Abby Foster, Deputy Director, Research; Grant Scroggie, Deputy Director, Workforce; and Tracy Sheldrick, Deputy Director, Workforce – Rural and Regional.
